TOP 10 Tips To Pass Your Driver’s License Test

    Here are a few tips to consider when you are in the process of doing your drivers licence test.

  1. Practice your clutch control properly and ensure that you have good control on your vehicle. This is the number one reason most students fail their driver’s license test.
  2. Preparation is key to any success. The more you know about the test the better prepared you will be and ultimately increase your chance to pass. Make sure that you understand what is expected and what you’re allowed and not allowed to do. What will result in an immediate fail and where you will lose points.
  3. Practice the Yard Test. The Yard Test consists of Ally Docking, Parallel Parking, Turn in Road and Incline move off. Be sure to put in the time and practice the parking until you are completely confident.
  4. Practice the test routes. Knowing where you will be driving and what the traffic flow is like will only benefit you. It can be nerve wrecking driving in an area that you’re unfamiliar with and not knowing what to expect around the next turn.
  5. If it happens that you make a mistake during your test, don’t dwell on it but listen to the Examiner and keep focus on the task at hand.

  8. Use the same vehicle for your test that you practised with. You don’t want to get into a vehicle that you’re not familiar with. Controls can feel different from each vehicle and you need to ensure that you are confident with the vehicle you use.
  9. Book your test once you feel confident behind the wheel. No need of a test date if your’e still not sure about your driving ability.
  10. Report to the Testing Station 30 minutes before your test time. Try not to get there to early and then have to wait. Waiting to do a test can make you nervous.
